I am back. I have let myself go. With all the health issues and everything over the winter I did OK until about a month ago. I started exercising and everything… and I freaking GAINED WEIGHT! Back up to 140 where last year I was at 130ish. Today I am sitting down and re-evaluating my behaviors. Not going to like what I find, I am sure.
Hope you all are having a better Wednesday than I am so far….
Well, concerned really.
The past couple of weeks I have had off and on sharp pain in my upper left abdomen. I haven’t really tracked or paid attention. But then I noticed it started becoming more frequent. Typically in the mornings and afternoons and late late night.
I took Tuesday off from work to go to an interview and since I had the whole day off I decided to go to the doctor. The Doctor said she didn’t want to scare me but that if I started getting a temperature, or the pain got more sever (before the blood work comes back) to go straight to the Urgent Care or ER.
The Doctor mentioned it may be an ulcer or new food allergy presenting itself but thought it way most likely a swollen spleen.
We are waiting for the blood work to come back in and then I will most likely have to go back into the office for an ultrasound.
I just don’t know what could be causing this. Apart from the pain and full feeling I feel perfectly normal.
Nothing I do make the pain better or worse (From what I can tell). It just comes and goes as it pleases.
The Doctor prescribed me an anti-acid stomach medication just in case it is an ulcer. Although I do not think it is. I been taking it for the past two day and it doesn’t help or hurt any more at all. Although I do not like how tired this medicine makes me. Just feel so tired.
In addition my co-workers all jump to the conclusion that I am pregnant and now freaking me out. I will probably go home and take a test to rule that out completely. I am 95% sure I am not but I would feel much better being 100%.
Has anyone else ever had a swollen spleen? What happened?
